Greg Rable joins ABS Capital Partners as Executive in Residence

Founder and former CEO of FactorTrust teams up with ABS Capital
BALTIMORE, MD (May 19, 2020) – ABS Capital Partners, a leading late-stage growth company investor, announced today that Greg Rable has joined the firm as an Executive in Residence (EIR). In this role, Rable will join forces with ABS Capital to identify new investment opportunities where he can leverage his expertise and experience leading high growth fintech companies.
ABS Capital and Rable previously partnered when the firm invested in FactorTrust, a leading alternative credit bureau for the underbanked market, which Rable founded and led as CEO. Over the course of two years working together, the company achieved topline growth of over 70% before being acquired by TransUnion (NYSE: TRU) in 2017. Rable has since focused on developing and advising new businesses through investments in growth stage companies and currently serves as Chairman for a leading UK alternative lender, QuidMarket.
“We had a great experience working with Greg at FactorTrust, having seen first-hand his ability to lead, operate, and grow a very successful fintech business. We are proud to welcome him to our team as an EIR,” said Phil Clough, managing general partner at ABS Capital. “At a time when sourcing new investments requires reliance on virtual meetings to assess opportunities, Greg’s expertise and insights will help us identify and evaluate exciting growth companies and ultimately accelerate their path to success.”
Rable, who resides in Atlanta, adds, “ABS Capital has a long history of partnering with tech-enabled services companies, helping founders and CEOs navigate their next stage of growth. I’ve always appreciated and respected their approach and look forward to working with the team once again.”
Rable previously held an executive leadership role at Premiere Global Services (NYSE: PGI) and served as CEO of an Employee Relationship Management (ERM) business assisting numerous Fortune 100 customers. In addition to FactorTrust, Rable also founded and was CEO of a leading e-billing and payments business, Derivion, which was acquired by Metavante, and subsequently FIS (NYSE: FIS). Greg’s companies have earned numerous product and growth accolades including Inc. 5000, Red Herring Top 100, and TAG Growth awards.
