Cal is a Principal at ABS Capital Partners whose investment interests and experience include healthcare and business services companies.
Cal has worked with ABS Capital portfolio companies Brandywine Senior Care, Inc., where he assisted the Company with a strategic sale, Continuum Health Care, Inc. and Liquidity Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:LQDT). Cal currently serves as an observer on the board of Sentient Flight Group.
Background
Prior to joining ABS Capital in 2003, Cal served as Vice President in Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown’s Health Care Investment Banking Group, where he specialized in equity, debt and M&A transactions for healthcare companies. During this time, Cal developed deep domain knowledge of healthcare growth companies. As an investment banker, he spent his time preparing companies for private equity rounds as well as public offerings and mergers, all of which required him to act as the key advisor to the management team, analyzing the industry and business, focusing on and highlighting the key strengths and differentiators, understanding the competitive landscape and preparing for an exit –all areas where he regularly advises his companies today. In total, Cal has over nine years of investment banking experience with Deutsche Bank, Alex. Brown & Sons and Kidder, Peabody.

Cal is married with two young daughters. When not tending to his girls, he enjoys fly-fishing, golf, wine, cooking and travel.
