Deric is a General Partner at ABS Capital Partners whose investment interests and experience include media and communications companies.

He currently represents ABS Capital on the boards of Ignite Media Solutions, Innovation Interactive, LLC, Vibrant Media, Inc., Tarpon Towers LLC, and Zoom Media Group, Inc.

He previously served on the boards of Captivate Network, Inc., Course Advisor, Inc., Neustar, Inc., InPhonic, Inc., and Voyant Technologies, Inc.

Prior to joining ABS Capital in 1999, Deric was part of Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown's Media & Communications Investment Banking team from 1996 to 1999. During that time, this team was considered by Wall Street to be the premier investment banker in the sector. He was instrumental in helping to develop new sub-sectors of focus within media & communications. For example, Deric’s team raised Wall Street awareness of communications tower companies, eventually becoming the leading banker for the most significant players in that industry. Deric has continued to use his sense of exploration to find companies that are transforming traditional media & communications models in new ways and, after having worked with a number of growth companies in varying financing environments, Deric is able to share his sense of the common traits of successful companies with his CEOs.
